On the Southwest edge of North Campus is the science complex that is made up of five connected buildings: Benton Hall, Stadler Hall, Research Building, William L. Clay Center for Molecular Electronics and Anheuser-Busch Ecology and Conservation Complex. It primarily houses the Psychology, Physics, Biology and Chemistry Departments and features many labs where students assist in research every day. It also houses the Science and Technology Academic Center where students can find tutors in the sciences.

Anheuser-Busch Hall is the first campus building devoted to UMSL’s nationally ranked and AACSB-accredited College of Business Administration. The 51,000 square-foot building will create a significant new identity for UMSL Business, providing a permanent home for undergraduate and graduate advising; a variety of specially equipped rooms including an event space, trading room, tiered seminar room, and a number of multi-use classrooms; and, pending final program approval, the offices of the new Doctor of Business Administration program. Anheuser-Busch Hall will offer student and community gathering spaces in addition to consolidating the majority of UMSL Business faculty offices and administration. The building design will merge business-world professionalism with state-of-the-art educational technologies.

AAB houses administrative and faculty offices for the fine arts and communication as well as campus-wide administrative service office such as facilities and human resources.

The Marguerite Ross Barnett Memorial Plaza is on the university’s North Campus between Lucas Hall and the Social Sciences Building. Barnett served as UMSL’s chancellor from 1986 to 1990. She was the first African American to lead the university and the first woman to lead the university.

The baseball complex at UMSL features an elevated pressbox with a modern sound system and scoreboard controls. The full-sized electronic scoreboard, which sits in right field, also features a digital display. The field includes dugouts and bullpens for each team and an infield tarp to protect against inclement weather.

The Touhill was built to provide a performance home for campus events, academic programs, and regional arts organizations. The spectacular venue contains three performance spaces; the Anheuser-Busch Performance Hall with 1600 seats, the flexible E. Desmond and Mary Ann Lee Theater with seating for up to 375, and the open-form Whitaker Hall with seating for up to 250. The Center hosts an average of 150 events, 230 performances, and 105,000 visitors per year.
Bugg Lake, West Dr, St. Louis, MO 63121
Located behind Benton and Stadler halls, the lake’s name may seem inspired by insects but is actually named after James Bugg, the university’s first chancellor.
