AMERICA at 250: Voices of a Nation is the Spring production of the University of Missouri–St. Louis Singing Actor’s Workshop, an ensemble performance project directed by Dr. Bethany Worrell. This evocative scenes program weaves together musical theatre, jazz, art song, concert spirituals, and patriotic favorites with spoken poetry that illuminates the American story. Through music and text, students explore the diverse voices, histories, and emotions that have shaped the nation, offering an evening that is both a celebration and a reflection as the country approaches its 250th anniversary.
