Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was a civil rights activist, leader and scholar. He challenged individuals to look beyond themselves and to serve the “Beloved Community.” In recognition of his legacy, the University of Missouri-St. Louis established the Dr. King scholarship to recognize students who exemplify academic excellence and service to the community. Scholarship applications are due no later than Friday, December 1, 2023.. . . . The Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion invites you to apply for the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarship. The recipient of this award will receive $1,000 and be honored at the annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday Observance on Monday, January 15, 2024, at the Touhill Performing Arts Center.. . . . The criteria for the award includes:. . •Currently enrolled undergraduate student (Note.
