Journaling taps into your creative self, trains you to listen to your emotions and needs, helps you focus on your goals and overcome obstacles to them, improves your memory, increases your gratitude, and generates clarity about your life. Writing in your journal for just five minutes a day can give you these benefits, and acts as a sort of solo therapy (although they’re GREAT for processing insights and work from therapy, too).
