Malcolm X Film Viewing: UPB Friday Flicks

Join the MSA/UPB in our Co-Sponsored film viewing with the Associated Black Collegians of the movie Malcolm X!

Islam's main principles are the denunciation of race as a factor to consider when considering each other's humanity and rights. In Islam, regardless of gender or race, every person is viewed equally, both men and women. Malcolm X learned this only after having gone to Mecca himself, where he experienced Islam for what it truly is, not for what the Nation of Islam taught him, in his time there. We hope to have a discussion of the movie and its relation to issues surrounding race, religion, justice, and equality the next week and hope you will all be in attendance! everyone is welcome and food and drink will be provided!
