The college experience at UMSL begins with Orientation. All new incoming first-year and transfer students must complete an orientation prior to classes beginning. Orientation will assist our students in developing an understanding about their transition they will make to a collegiate environment at UMSL and to enhance their success.
At Orientation, it is a one-stop concept to prepare our students for their first day of classes. Our students will be able to explore campus and to view their classroom locations, to reserve textbooks, to get their UMSL ID and parking pass, to sign up for leadership and involvement opportunities, to participate and engage with faculty in a classroom lecture, to finalize their course schedule, and to navigate through your triton technology portals.
Orientation will be available in on our main campus in Touhill Performing Arts Center near the Millennium Student Center, and additional academic buildings.

Parent and family members are also encouraged to attend the separate sessions. If they cannot attend in person, they can view the virtual evening webinar series.
