In the fourth installment of UniverCities Exchange, attention shifts to public transportation and what many advocates are calling a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to remake the state's transportation systems due to an influx of infrastructure funds. Yet how to do that and how to make what comes next an equitable and accessible system are questions that Kansas City and St. Louis continue to contemplate.

Moderated by Danny Wicentowski, producer for St. Louis on the Air with St. Louis Public Radio, the panelists include:

  • Kim Cella, Executive Director of Citizens for Public Transit and the Missouri Public Transit Association
  • Terri Bar-Moore, Director of Government Relations for the Kansas City Area Transportation Authority and a member of the Board of Directors for the Missouri Public Transit Association
  • Todd Swanstrom, Des Lee Endowed Professor in Community Collaboration and Public Policy with the University of Missouri St. Louis
  •  Amanda Grimes, Assistant Professor, UMKC School of Nursing and Health Sciences
