University Orchestra & University Singers Concert

Honoring the 100th birthday last year of Leonard Bernstein, the University Orchestra, under the baton of Darwin Aquino and the University Singers, directed by Jim Henry, present Leonard Bernstein’s quintessential masterwork Chichester Psalms. Commissioned in 1965 for the Southern Cathedrals Festival at Chichester Cathedral in England, the work consists of three movements, each of which pair two psalms sung in their original Hebrew.
The concert will also feature Bernstein’s gorgeous choral work “Make our Garden Grow” from his operetta Candide.
